    2. Prior to reading this book, I ignorantly equated Hermeneutics to relativism It isn t Hermeneutics is the study of interpretation, not the belief that morals and beliefs are relative If you like, you can thump your chest and preach A is A and not lose your zeal after reading this book You may even learn something you can use It was a pleasure to read the well organized thoughts of someone who writes so well I will be revisiting this book because it will teach me how to write Zimmerman writes well [...]

Important Topic in an Accessible LanguageThis relatively short book, in my view, is a very important one It tries to engage in one of the most important yet neglected topics in our time And, I think it does it successfully As a non native speaker of english, I found this book was very accessible.

    8. 4 5An excellent, fairly succinct, and broadly minded introduction to the topic Given the author s background, there was some emphasis on scriptural interpretation which slightly dominated the perspective of the work, but the inclusion of key figures and arguments as well as seminal works will orient those students of philosophy or literary analysis who will want to know the best places to continue their research.

    9. Repetitive and basic It does some interesting things about the applications of the field but look elsewhere if you actually want to know anything of substance about key hermeneutic thinkers.
