    2. A fast paced adventure of a book I don t read much urban fantasy, but found myself really engaged, following Dale s story I found the ending surprising, and I m intrigued to see the direction for the rest of the series The only thing that felt odd to me were the sex scenes with John they came out of at least to me nowhere I think they re meant for us to feel the complexity of Dale s feelings for John, but they mostly left me with reader whiplash of whoa where did that come from what

    3. I received this book in a giveaway and will be giving an honest and fair review I m having a hard time deciding my feelings on this book I liked parts and there are definitely parts there that I should have liked but, for some reason I m not liking it too much Maybe it is because it has been over done but, the demon v angels aspect is somewhat a game changer After reading the whole book I m not actually sure what the difference between an angel and a demon is I don t think it was ever clearly st [...]

    4. First off, I m not sure why says this book is 360 pages, because my book is only 286 pages, but heyyy, what do I know Anyways. This book made me so frustrated, but I loved it I don t know how to explain it without giving any spoilers, but that s not my style, so I won t give any It kept reminding me of Supernatural though if you don t watch the show, Dale reminded me of Dean Winchester If you do watch the show and you read this book, it ll totally make sense I m super pumped for the second book I [...]

I received this book in a Giveaway Dale Highland has been on the run, ever since she was 17 She wakes up next to a dead body, with no idea what happened She has blackouts she calls Rages But a encounter with a stranger pushes the young woman to face some weird truth about who, or maybe what, she really is The author did an excellent job of creating a main character whose inner angst and frustrations felt believable, despite the fantasy nature of the issues she faces This is book 1 in a 4 part se [...]

    7. This is an adventure fantasy novel about the ongoing struggle between militant angels on earth and their opposition, the equally militant demons fallen angels Neither group are actually good people The struggle is complicated by the presence of half bread mutants with varying degrees of angelic powers Most humans in the story tend to be an afterthought and often turn out to be collateral damage The narrative revolves around Dale, a half demon who is unaware of her unusually strong powers She is [...]

    8. I really enjoy urban fantasy but I don t read nearly as much of it as I would like, often finding myself sucked into sci fi and classic fantasy instead So reading The Demon Within was a treat because it was fun, fast paced, and left me really looking forward to the next book, as well as reminding me of what I love about urban fantasy and that I really need to read The protagonist, Dale who maybe has a demon withine what I did there , was a great, believable character, despite that whole pesky d [...]

    9. ADVANCED READERS COPYInteresting plot This story could have been developed and in depth Character development could have also been developed I never had a clear picture of anyone in my mind because the author didn t take the time to allow that to happen The ending was anti climatic, predictble and felt rushed I am not a fan of Woodward s voice but that is a personal preference Take your time with the next one.

    10. I liked it well enough, although it did not leave me hanging for Woodward avoided many of the YA clich s, but the book still holds many of the genre s flaws, however If you re a fan of the genre nevertheless, then by all means, I recommend this book The authoress prose is consise and flowing, making The demon within an easy, entertaining read.
