    1. My review cross posted from Wit and Sin witandsin 2016 05Return to the lovely small town of Cricket Creek, Kentucky with Wish upon a Wedding LuAnn McLane s tenth Cricket Creek novel doesn t lack charm, but it also doesn t meet its full potential.Sophia and Avery make an adorable couple They both obviously like one another, but between Sophia not wanting to open herself up and face potential rejection and Avery having been burned by love once before, the two have been constantly dancing around ea [...]

    2. This book was sweet As with the 9 other books in the Cricket Creek series there is a secondary romance developing with an older couple I have just two small complaints that kept me from giving a 5 star rating First, I wish there was story with our main H h sadly the secondary story felt as if it could have been the main And second, Ashley the b tch of the story should have gotten her comeuppance She got away with too damn much I am looking forward to the next in the series coming in December.

    3. If the Cricket Creek books were a food, they d be a potato chip There is nothing nutritionally redeeming about them and in fact you are aware that there are things about them that are actively bad for you You know you probably shouldn t like them as much as you do, and yet when you reach the bottom of the bag, you re like, what Did I really eat them all But I want These books are pure guilty pleasure fare and they don t take place in anything remotely resembling the real world There is absolute [...]

    4. I have chosen to read this book because I wanted to read about Avery and Sophia s relationship Despite it being the main story, I ended up reading about his Uncle Easton and Carrie Ann who was supposed to be the secondary story I felt like Avery and Sophia s story was not bought out to the full potential It was not a bad book, but I honestly want of Sophia and Avery

    5. Sometimes, bad reviews are the most fun to write Other times, it just makes me, well, sad And this is one of those times This was a book that just didn t work for me on any level I felt that the potential was there, but it just never materialized.I should start with a quick disclaimer I didn t realize when I agreed to read this book that it was the 10th in a series Because of that, I felt like the action had started long before the first page and that I was missing out on some character developm [...]

    7. This review was written by Marie for a guest review post on Ever After Book Reviews blog 3.5 StarsI ve been reading this series since the beginning, and I can honestly say that while it was wonderful to revisit the charming town of Cricket Creek, Kentucky, and all of its inhabitants, this book didn t pack the usual punch that Ms McLane is accustomed to delivering.I enjoyed the pairing of Sophia and Avery They had good chemistry and were fun, exciting characters However, the story as to how their [...]

    8. OK read, didn t like the story lines as much as in the rest of the series, maybe because it kept alternating between two couples who were so similar she could have just had one set.

    9. Mix the tried and true premise of the fake wedding date with sweet, Southern charm, and you ve got Wish Upon a Wedding by Luann McLane Unbeknownst to me, this is book 10 in McLane s Cricket Creek series I will definitely be checking out the previous books Not being invested in the series or the characters, I found the beginning of the book a little slow, however, once I got a feel for the characters, I was engaged in the story McLane has created a charming small town and filled it with quintesse [...]

    15. I liked the book overall, especially the secondary romance between Easton and Carrie Ann The main issue I had was that there was little comeuppance for the villain Yes, she was called out on her actions a few times, but I was expecting there to be this big confrontation at the end, which never happened Also, it was kind of annoying having some of the previous characters from the other books introduced by the plot of their book Example Instead of just simply saying that someone was the bartender [...]

    17. I wasn t expecting much out of this, since I don t do typical romance books I needed it for a challenge, however, so I decided to give it a shot.I really enjoyed it, overall Sophia s short girl problems are my life, so I could really relate I think I would have enjoyed it if I had read through the series first, so I had an idea of the characters, but I obviously didn t here The first book is on my to read list now, though.
