I really liked this story and the way it was written but for one thing It is the only criticism I have of the story The author skirted the elephant in the room throughout the story She had several opportunities to make it clear that the Stepfather of Gracie was an abuser and a sexual abuser But she never really did until the last page with regard to abuse I have no idea why she chose to leave that issue blank to be filled in by the reader It is such a terrible and ubiquitous subject in our socie [...]
