    4. i love the idea of really teaching a child s heart, shaping their character and giving children a godly worldview rather than simply manipulating behavior i appreciated his examples and i felt like his love for children and parenting really came out in the book i know some people have an issue with him and his book, but i was glad to have read it although that might be because i just went to a parenting conference taught by him and he s much better in person than in writing.
