City of Sheffield Saints welcomed Oxford Brookes University to All Saints on Saturday in a quarter final play off game, where north meet south. Saints led from the first minute, and never lost that lead with an excellent all round team performance. Saints spread the scoring, with six different players getting on the score sheet in the first 10 minutes, giving the home team a 4 point advantage at the break.

The second period continued in a similar vein, with a five other players adding to the scoring, giving Saints a 41 – 29 lead at the half time break. The third period was a much closer affair, with the visitors matching Saints on 17 points, but still 12 points adrift. The final 10 minutes belonged to Pete Olusoga – he dropped 4 threes and 4 two pointers in a 6 minute blast, with great encouragement from the players on the bench, cheering him on. The final score of 92 – 71 gives Saints an away semi final against London Eastside next weekend.
