    1. This was a nice read but not as good as the previous 4 books in the series I tired of reading how Lux, the heroine who is Black, sucked her teeth and rolled her eyes at every opportunity Can you say stereotype much The storyline is the same for this book as the others in this series white, rich, alpha male loves independent and strong African American or Black woman The woman, in this book is Lux, is placed in danger and is saved by the male hero Here the hero is Josh, the youngest of the Kingdo [...]

    2. Just Straight Up GoodWhat a way to tell Jason s story.I debated about reading this story because of some of the negative reviews, and boy am I glad I didn t listen.I love the fact that we get a tension filled story about Jason and Lux and there troubles. This is a story about love almost from the very start and it goes wrong.I love that the writer gives Jason a bit of an edge instead of falling back on his brand of humor. We get to see a side that all business and a man who lays the law down you e [...]

    3. This was an awesome installment of the Kingdom saga Definitely one of my favorites of the series I have always loved Joshua best I think because he has a sense of humor But he s always felt a bit mysterious to me too It was great to get some of his back story and most pleasantly Ms Henry also manages to keep us fully engaged in the lives of other beloved characters in the Kingdom family I found Lux to be an altogether interesting addition to the Kingdom story because her moral dilemma was reali [...]

    4. Ok readThis was just an ok read The best part of the book was the Josh and Lux s interactions when they were secluded together in Jason s home That was the only time I felt the emotions the writer wanted to convey I just want to know will Steve get a story After all he was a main part of Jason s life, the person these stories seem to actually center on Steve disappeared in book 2 with no real resolution to his drama There was a hint of a possible relationship with Ms Ellis I would like to read S [...]

    5. I am a big fan of the Kingdom series But I must say I did not like the pairing of Josh and Lux I really didn t like Lux s character She was too whiney and self righteous and just continually grated my nerves throughout the book I did enjoy the jawin between her and Aviva I think Josh deserved a better partner I am glad we caught up in what was going on with Jason Aviva and Jacob Mackenzie Looking forward to Jackson s sory I m anticipating the psycho mother will be back on scene, if she can ever [...]

    7. So childishI love Theresa Henry s work And I love all the Kingdom men and there women But I just could take Lux any Her reason for leaving her husband was childish and unrealistic And punishing for something g that should have been let go of 7 years ago I gave this book 3 stars out of respect for the arthur s pass work.
